MUSCAT : OTE Group, exclusive distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Sultanate, has announced the Oman debut of the all-new Tucson NX4 2022 model, which sets a new benchmark for bold styling, technology and performance.

The fourth generation of the compact SUV (C-SUV) – Hyundai Motor’s best-selling model in many parts of the world – is the culmination of a complete makeover complete with cutting-edge design, roominess, class-leading digital capabilities, dynamic ride and handling, and excellent fuel efficiency.

A key hallmark of the new model is its sporty look, which places the Tucson NX4 in a class of its own. From its signature parametric radiator grille that sleekly incorporates the new front lighting, to the sharp angular creases on the door panels, the 2022 model is every bit a head-turner. 

Available in two variants, the Tucson NX4 comes with a choice of powerful and efficient powertrain engines depending upon the trim level.  Packaged with the Comfort trim option is a 2.0L MPI engine delivering 156 ps/6200 rpm of power and 19.6 kg.m/4500 rpm of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard with the Premier and Royal trim options is a 2.5L GDI engine, offering 190 ps/6,100 rpm of power and 24.7 kg.m/4,000 rpm of torque delivered by an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Adding to the all-new Tucson NX4’s appeal is its generous cabin capacity. At 4,500 mm (overall length), 1,865 mm (overall width) and 1650 mm (overall height), Hyundai’s new offering is longer and wider than before.  Ample legroom and headroom aside, boot capacity ramps up to a cavernous 1682 litres when the second row seat is folded down. 

In addition to stylish exteriors and superb interiors, the Tucson NX4 is loaded with segment-leading safety and technology features. Standard across all three trim levels are active safety systems and driver assists in the form of Anti-Lock Braking (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Downhill Brake Control (DBC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and Trailer Stability Assist (TSA). 

As a premium brand, the NX4 also comes with Parking Distance Warning capacities, both for Forward and Reverse functions. Likewise, the Drive Mode Select feature allows you to pick a drive mode that fits your driving style. And there is the wireless phone charger to help you keep your smartphone topped up on long drives. Additionally, a full-size alloy spare wheel sits ensconced away in the boot cavity of every 2022 Tucson NX4 model. 

Moving up the trim levels, several innovative features are available with the Premier and Royal trim options. They include the power driver seat facility, electronic gear shift, remote engine starter capability, and second row remote folding function. However, exclusively available as part of the Royal trim offering is an array of safety and driver assist features, such as blind spot collision warning, forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, and power panoramic sunroof.
