MUSCAT: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has urged private healthcare institutions to give priority in vaccinating their employees against COVID-19.
More than 900,000 people in the country have been vaccinated so far, however, the Covid-19 cases have increased in the country including deaths. A total of 143 people died fighting the battle in the last three days, according to a figure issued by the Ministry of Health.
“In view of present circumstances, that health sector is going through, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry urges all private health sector institutions to contribute to their community by giving priority to their employees to obtain vaccination doses against the Covid19,” OCCI said in a statement issued.

“That is because, the healthcare providers represent the first line defence against this pandemic and their role in protecting citizens and residents of the country is pivotal,” the statement added.
