MUSCAT: Saudi Arabia wants to boost investment opportunities in the Sultanate, the country’s Ambassador has confirmed on Saturday.

His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said, Oman’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia said Saudi Arabia is in the midst of an ambitious economic development plan – Vision 2030, which meets many features of Oman 2040 vision.

Early last month, the Saudi state news agency SPA had confirmed about the investment talks between both the countries in special economic zones in the kingdom and the Sultanate.

“These investments are actually present and we are counting on the business sector in the two countries to raise the level of trade exchange. Saudi has the desire to further enhance investments in the Sultanate in light of the amendments and improvements recently issued by the country,” Sayyid Faisal said in a statement to Oman News Agency.
