MUSCAT: With COVID-19 surging in Oman in the last one month, experts said it is being fuelled by groups of gatherings.
With the government reporting more than 2,000 new cases daily, positivity rate and hospitalisation skyrocket, health authorities are urging people to avoid family gatherings and weddings to contain the spread of the virus.
“People are still gathering despite warnings and advises from health authorities. Unless and until you as an individual do not take the responsibility, you will continue to see cases going up,” said a Ministry of Health official.
