MUSCAT: A total of 226 expatriates living in Oman have received the citizenship this year, after His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik granted 30 more expats the nationality on Sunday.
In February, His Majesty granted citizenship to 157 expats living in the country, while 39 more residents received the Omani passport in March.
In order to obtain the citizenship, expats must fulfil the requirements of the Citizenship Law of Oman including living in the country for more than 20 years.
