MUSCAT: The Muscat International Airport runway will be closed on Friday, June 25 for six hours, Oman Airports said on Thursday.
In a statement issued, Oman Airports said: “Our dear passengers via Muscat International Airport , In our constant efforts to provide safety and security for our passengers , we would like to inform you that we are carrying out a necessary maintenance work of the runway at Muscat International Airport which will take place for 6 hours , starting from tomorrow morning Friday 25/06/2021 at 04:25am to 10:45am.”
“The maintenance work will include rubber removal, runway sealant repair and deep inspection. Moreover, there will be a tower evacuation at the airport. Therefore the runway will go under a full 6 hours closure till all maintain work is done,” the statement added.
