MUSCAT: Ministry of Health has given emergency approval to use four vaccines in the Sultanate, a too official said.
Addressing the Supreme Committee press conference, Dr. Saif Salim Al Abri, Director General of Disease Surveillance and Control at the Ministry of Health said: “Emergency use license has also been granted in the Sultanate for four vaccines, namely Pfizer-Biontech, Oxford/AstraZeneca, Sputnik and Sinovac.”
According to Al Abri, a new target group for vaccination will be announced next week. Currently, those in the age group of 45 and above are getting the vaccination from MOH.
