MUSCAT: The Government Communication Centre (GC) on Wednesday denied a social media rumour about online registration for vaccination for those below 45 years.
In a statement issued, GC said currently the vaccination drive are for those from 45 years and above. “There is no truth to what is being circulated about the provision of self-registration service for immunization for those under 45 years old,” GC said.
Earlier in the day, MOH also denied a news regarding vaccination for those in the age group of 20 and above. “To draw your attention that what is being circulated in the circular on immunizing the age group of 20 years and above in the Al-Numan Palace Hall in the Wilayat of Barka is incorrect. The Directorate has the right to take legal action against those who spread such rumours,” MOH said in the statement.
