COVID-19: Visiting Muttrah Fish Market? Here’s what you need to follow

MUSCAT: In the wake of rising coronavirus cases, the Muscat Municipality has issued strict guidelines for both visitors and vendors entering the Muttrah Market for Fish, Fruits and Vegetables.

Following are the guidelines issued:

  • People not wearing masks, those with body temperature more than 37.5 degrees Celsius are denied entry.
  • Keep a social distance of 1.5 metres.
  • Children and elderly are not permitted to enter the market
  • Vendors must clean display counters frequently.
  • Consumers must not touch fish.
  • Only 30 per cent of total visitors are allowed inside the market.
  • Workers must adhere to the requirements and preventive measures including wearing face masks and disposable gloves all the time.
