MUSCAT: With COVID-19 cases rising in the country, the field hospital has increased its bed capacity in the last two weeks.
Dr. Nabil Al Lawati, Field Hospital Director said there is also shortage of medical staff at the hospital. “Within two weeks, 50 beds were added in the hospital. The medical equipment is sufficient, but there is a shortage of staff. If available, we will raise the capacity to 200 beds,” he said.
In the last few weeks the coronavirus cases has increased. “As the situation is getting difficult and patients are increasing, there are those who are waiting for their turn to get a bed,” he added.
