MUSCAT: With the Supreme Committee imposing a ban on passengers from Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam, Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said it will implement the decision on June 5.

In a circular issued to all operating airlines, CAA said the following:

• To extend the suspension of entry to the Sultanate until further notice for arrivals from the Republic of Sudan, the Federal Republic of Brazil, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Federal Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Sierra Leone, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, and the Philippines.
• Adding arrivals from the Kingdom of Thailand, the Federal Kingdom of Malaysia, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and arrivals from any other country if they have passed through any of the aforementioned countries during the previous 14 days preceding their request to enter the Sultanate.
• The excluded as stated in previous circulars continue to be effective, and the CAA hereby urges citizens of Oman not to visit the mentioned countries during this period.
• Effective 14:00 on Saturday, 5th June 2021 until further notice.
