All Oman government employees, people over 45 to be vaccinated in June, says official

Oman will receive 1.25 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine this month.

MUSCAT: With more than a million COVID-19 vaccines set to arrive in Oman this month, the priority is to vaccinate all government employees, security and military authorities, and those above the age of 45, a top Ministry of Health official has informed.

Badr bin Saif Al Rawahi, Director of Infectious Diseases Control at the Ministry of Health said over 200,000 doses have arrived on Saturday, while the next batch of 200,000 will arrive next week.

According to Al Rawahi, Oman is expected to receive 1.25 million doses in June. Meanwhile, Al Rawahi also said children above the age of 12 will also receive the jab to contain the spread of the virus.
