MUSCAT : The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion received the 2020 harvest of processed dates, locally known as (Busoor). The process of collecting this product continued from 11 April to 20 May 2021 from all governorates in the Sultanate.
The Ministry said that the number of Busoor suppliers in the 2020 harvest was 65, and the quantity received was 187 tons and 150 kg.
The step comes in light of the Government’s support for farmers who supply the ministry with their Busoor harvest. The Government also directly supports suppliers who will export their 2020 harvest to foreign markets, in order to encourage them in finding alternative and new markets where they can market the Busoor product.
