MUSCAT: Black fungus or mucormycosis that can be fatal has not been recorded in Oman, the country’s Ministry of Health has confirmed.
In a statement issued, MOH said: “The Ministry of Health monitored what was circulating on social media about Mucormycosis. The Ministry wishes to clarify that no case of this infection has been recorded in patients in Oman.”
India reported black fungus, which is a rare diseases as an epidemic and has been discovered in COVID-19 patients.
