MUSCAT: In line with its vision ‘To serve you better, everyday’ and commitment to partnership in promoting a strong savings culture in Oman, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate, recently conducted the Al Mazyona monthly draw for North Batinah governorate. As many as 61 winners walked away with OMR 415,000 during the draw, which was presented by media personality Samira Al Harrasi. The draw was live-streamed on the bank’s social media accounts and followed keenly by customers and the general public.
The monthly draw for North Batinah saw 30 winners from the governorate win OMR 500 each while one lucky winner walked away with the monthly mega prize of OMR 50,000. Customers who maintain a minimum balance of OMR 100 are automatically entered into the monthly draws for different governorates in the Sultanate. Prize draws were also held for high saving customers on the occasion including Asalah and Al Jawhar customers. Ten Asalah customers won OMR 25,000 each while 20 Al Jawhar customers walked away with prizes worth OMR 5,000 each. Asalah Priority Banking customers maintaining a minimum balance of OMR 30,000 and Al Jawhar customers maintaining a minimum balance of OMR 10,000 are eligible to participate in the monthly draws in their respective categories.

Continuing the bank’s efforts to align itself with national goals, the long-running Al Mazyona scheme is contributing to the development of Oman and encouraging greater financial prudence amongst the general public. Bank Muscat holds prize draws across a number of categories, including monthly draws, special Mid-year and End of Year draws as well as draws in the regional, women, youth, and children’s categories. Special draws are also held on important occasions like Eid and the National Day and high-value prizes kept reserved for Asalah and Al Jawhar customers to encourage more savings across all customer categories.
Al Mazyona is the longest-running savings scheme, offering the largest total prize money in the country. The scheme will offer OMR 11 million to 7,470 winners throughout 2021. With Bank Muscat live-streaming prize draws on its official social media channels like Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, the Al Mazyona scheme has witnessed rising interest from the bank’s customers, the general public and the media.
