MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate, in step with its vision ‘To serve you better, everyday’ and commitment to partnership in encouraging a savings culture in Oman, has invited its Al Mazyona customers to take part in the salary transfer draws being held in 2021. In line with the bank’s commitment to encouraging a savings culture in Oman, Bank Muscat recently announced that 20 winners would be chosen every month in the salary transfer category this year from among customers who use Bank Muscat accounts to receive their salaries. As many as 240 winners will receive a total of over OMR 1.4 million in prizes throughout the year.
Abdullah Tamman Al Mashani, DGM – Institutional Sales and Product Development, Bank Muscat, said: “Bank Muscat is playing a keen role in supporting the nation in achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040 and its Al Mazyona savings scheme is playing an important role in increasing the savings habit of people in the country. By continuously innovating over the past three decades based on customer feedback, the bank offers the largest number of prizes in Oman across different customer segments. The bank is proud of the success so far achieved by Al Mazyona in promoting the concept of savings in the Omani society and its role in supporting national development goals.”
Al Mazyona rewards 10 winners every month from among those with salaries up to OMR 999 per month. These winners will be paid a monthly salary prize of OMR 500 for a whole year as a reward for choosing Al Mazyona salary accounts. Similarly, 10 winners will be chosen every month from amongst the bank’s Al Jawhar customers, whose salaries are OMR 1,000 or more. These winners too will receive OMR 500 every month for a whole year.

In 2021, Bank Muscat has further increased the number of prizes in the country’s largest savings scheme with 7,470 winners all set to be rewarded for their savings habit, up by 12 percent from 6,677 in the previous year. At a press conference to launch the 2021 scheme, bank officials explained the details of the prize draws as well as the terms and conditions to enter the draws which will be held throughout the year. These include both the monthly draws as well as the special Mid-year and End of Year draws. Special prizes have also been reserved for Asalah and Al Jawhar customers as well as for regional, women, youth, and children’s categories. With the bank commencing livestreaming of the prize draws on the official social media channels like Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, the Al Mazyona scheme has been witnessing keen interest from the bank’s customers and the general public.
The scheme is contributing majorly to the development of Oman and encouraging financial prudence amongst the general public. Al Mazyona is designed to transform the lives of prudent savers and special prizes are reserved for different customer segments including Premier Banking, regional, youth, women and children’s account categories. Special prize draws are also held on important occasions like the National Day, Omani Women’s Day and the Omani Youth Day.
