MUSCAT : Continuing the company’s vision to upgrade digital communication services in the Sultanate of Oman and to continue its tramp as the first provider specialized in providing high-speed Internet services over broadband in the Sultanate of Oman, Awasr welcomes Dr. Hamad bin Salem Al Rawahi as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Balushi as a member of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Hamad Al-Rawahi has am extensive experience of more than 30 years and in various sectors during which he held many leadership positions, the last of which was the position of CEO of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, as he had a great impact on the growth and development of the telecommunications sector in the Sultanate and was a main contributor in many strategic tasks, whether at the local or international level.
Mr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Balushi has also been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Awasr Company due to his experiences in various sectors, as he currently holds several positions, most notably the position of CEO of Mwasalat Company, which is the leading company in the field of public transport in the Sultanate of Oman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Maritime College and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bus Manufacturing Project in the Duqm Special Economic Zone “Karwa Motors”.
