MUSCAT : Oman Customs has thwarted an attempt to smuggle more than 1,900 boxes of cigarettes hidden tightly in a truck designed for smuggling operations.
In a statement issued, Oman Customs said: “The Investigation and Risk Assessment Department seizes a truck in the Rusayl Industrial Area and uncovers a smuggling operation of more than 1900 boxes of cigarettes, which the accused deliberately concealed in a professional manner (designed for smuggling operations) at the base of the trailer.”
