MUSCAT: National airline Oman Air has issued a statement on status of its flight that delayed its departure from Salalah airport on Thursday evening.
In a statement issued, Oman Air said due to an “incident” happened at Salalah Airport, one of its flight WY908 that was supposed to depart to Muscat at 6:10 pm has been delayed. “This is a result of an incident at Salalah Airport. Whilst the incident was outside the control of Oman Air, we nevertheless regret the inconvenience caused and would like to thank our guests for their patience and understanding,” the airline said.
However, the airline did not explain the details about the incident at the airport.

“We would also like to thank the pilot, his crew, and Oman Air’s airport staff for their professional handling of the situation. We are dedicated to the safety of our guests and crew members, hotel arrangements are made and guests will depart tomorrow morning, Friday 22nd, on the upgraded flight WY908 at 11:35 local time,” the airline added.
