MUSCAT: There is no longer an option for passengers travelling to Oman to stay in the country for a period of less than eight days, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said on Tuesday.
In a letter issued to all operating airlines, CAA said they must ensure that “there should be no travel reservations made for the passenger to depart Oman before the mandatory quarantine period ends,” the statement from CAA said.
Following the 7-day quarantine, the passenger must conduct a PCR test on the eighth day, CAA added.

Meanwhile, the Royal Oman Police on Tuesday said citizens from 103 countries who are exempted from visa-free entry can stay in the country for a period of 14-days. As per the earlier decisions, residents could only stay up to 10 days
