MUSCAT: Muscat Festival 2021 which was scheduled to start this month has been cancelled for the second consecutive year in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to The Arabian Stories, a top official at Muscat Municipality said the decision to cancel the popular festival has been taken after careful study. “We have taken various parameters into account. Health of our citizens and residents is of top priority and taking that into account we have decided to cancel this year’s festival,” the official said. Muscat Festival was scheduled from January 16 to February 15
Last year, the festival was cancelled following the demise of late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said bin Taimur.
