MUSCAT: Bahrain has thanked Oman for the secure release of three Bahraini citizens who was detained in Qatar.
In a statement issued, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its gratitude to the Omani authorities. Qatar on Friday released three Bahraini citizens.
“The Ministry considers the release of Bahraini citizens by the competent Qatari authorities a step that reflects the required spirit to complete addressing the pending issues between the two countries in order to enhance cooperation between the GCC states, hoping for the release of the Asian sailors who work on Bahraini fishing vessels, in consideration of their humanitarian situation,” the statement said.
