MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on Monday issued two Royal Decrees establishing a new Basic Law for the state in line with Oman 2040 vision.
His Majesty also issued a Royal Decree establishing a mechanism for appointing the Crown Prince and stating his duties and powers.
The Basic Law devotes a special system to follow up and monitor government performance, by establishing a committee that address to His Majesty the Sultan and evaluate the performance of ministers, deputy ministers and those in their position.
