COVID-19 strain: Oman Air suspends operations for one week

MUSCAT: National airline Oman Air on Monday announced suspending its operations temporarily for one week starting from December 22.

This comes after the Supreme Committee (SC) decided to close Oman’s borders in the wake of a fast-spreading variant of COVID-19 in UK. However, the airline said its domestic and cargo services will continue unaffected.

“For rebookings, guest holdingOman Air flight reservations can contact our Call Centre at (+968) 24531111 or Oman Air representatives in their respective countries. For further updates on our flight operations and services , please refer to our website and official social media channels,” Oman Air said in a statement.

Earlier, SC said the decision to close borders will come into effect from 1am on Tuesday.
