Visa-free entry: Citizens from 103 countries living in GCC countries can enter Oman

MUSCAT : Expatriates living in any of the GCC countries and those with employment visas or with tourist visas can enter Oman without the need of a visa if they are from the 103 countries listed.

In a letter issued by Oman Airports clarified certain conditions for availing the visa free entry. “Residents of GCC countries, GCC countries tourist visa holders or holders of GCC Countries work visas (as per the list of jobs permitted) can also benefit from this exemption if they are nationals of the 103 countries,” the letter said.

Early last week, Oman exempted nationals of 103 countries from needing an entry visa for a stay of up to 10 days to boost tourism.

Meanwhile, citizens from 27 countries must have valid resident entry visa for United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Schengen Agreement associated countries or Japan to enter the Sultanate. “Of the 103 countries, citizens from 27 countries must have a valid visa of US, Canada, Australia, UK, Schengen visa or Japan visa to be allowed to enter Oman,” a top official informed The Arabian Stories.

These 27 countries include India, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Costa Rica, Kyrgyzstan, Nicaragua, Morocco, Armenia, Panama, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkmenistan, Honduras, Guate- mala, Kazakhstan, Laos, Albania, Bhutan, Peru,, Salvador, Mexico, Vietnam, Cuba and Maldives.
