MUSCAT :People on Tuesday woke up to a pleasant surprise as rain fell across various parts of the country.
National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre has indicated that a trough of low pressure will affect large parts of the sultanate from December 7 to 9.
The weather disturbance caused by the low pressure – named Al Reham Trough – will bring thundershowers across many governorates as well as bring down the temperature by a few degrees.

‘The governorates of South Batinah, Muscat, Dakhliya, and North and South Sharqiyah will be affected by the trough on Tuesday and Wednesday,” PACA said.
Meanwhile, PACA has advised people to take caution and avoid the risk of crossing the valley as many governorates are receiving rainfall.
