MUSCAT: The number of mobile broadband subscribers in the country has increased by 17% to touch 5.12 million at the end of October 2020, according to the data released by National Centre for Statistics and Information.
Meanwhile, the total fixed internet subscriptions also rose 4.6% to touch 495,400.
However, the total number of mobile subscribers fell by 2.8% to 6.09 million. Out of this, postpaid mobile connections increased by 26.9% to 922,605, and pre-paid mobile connections fell 6.7% to 5.17 million at the end of October 2020.
