MUSCAT: The government has declared holidays for both public and private sectors on the occasion of the country’s 50th National Day.
Upon the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Ministry of Labour granted holidays from Wednesday, November 25 to Thursday November 26. Work will resume on Sunday, November 29.
“Employers at private sector establishments may agree with their respective employees to continue working during the above-mentioned two days, if deemed necessary, provided the workers be compensated for that,” the Ministry said in a statement.
