MUSCAT : Oman’s Ministry of Health has clarified a recruitment notice for nutrition technicians following discussion on social media, saying the inclusion of applicants’ names and civil numbers is a standard procedure used by national institutions.

In a statement, the ministry said the practice was intended to ensure transparency, promote fair competition for jobs and safeguard the rights of all applicants.

The clarification followed social media discussion about an announcement setting out dates for interviews for nutrition technician positions.

The ministry said the reference to a female applicant in a subsequent notice supplemented an earlier announcement published on October 28, 2026, inviting candidates for interviews. The additional notice was issued to notify applicants whose names had not appeared on the initial list.

The ministry thanked members of the public for following its announcements and procedures and for sharing their views, saying their feedback was valued.
