Over 60 companies in Oman violated COVID-19 rules

MUSCAT: A total of 63 private sector establishments violated the coronavirus (Covid-19) rules and one company was referred to the public prosecution, Ministry of Labour said on Wednesday.

In a statement issued, the Ministry said in order to monitor the implementation of Covid-19 precautionary measures, the officials inspected 500 companies from March 23 and October 30, 2020.

“The inspection team visited 516 private sector institutions during from March 23 to October 30, 2020. 140 companies committed to the precautionary measures imposed by the Supreme Committee,” the statement said.

The Ministry has issued strict precautionary guidelines to private sector companies to follow in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
