MUSCAT: Oman’s National Subsidy Committee has approved a temporary 30-litre limit on fuel purchases at filling stations within 50 kilometres of border crossings, a commerce ministry official said, citing high demand at some outlets.
The measure aims to ensure fuel remains available to as many consumers as possible, Nasra bint Sultan Al Habsi, Director General of Commerce at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, told Oman Radio in an interview.
The temporary arrangement regulates refuelling quantities in response to increased demand at some stations, according to a summary of her remarks published by the broadcaster.
