WASHINGTON : Speaking in an interview with former White House spokesman Sean Spicer that aired on Friday, Vance said he had experienced a disagreement with Trump over the issue.
“Even if you disagree with him on that one issue, you can have that disagreement. And I think I have had that disagreement,” Vance said.
His comments came in response to a question about his relationship with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, who has been a vocal critic of the war on Iran.

Vance said Carlson had been “very, very angry” about the conflict and added that the two had discussed the issue both privately and publicly.
“He and I have had that conversation in private, in public. I know how he feels, and I understand,” Vance said.
Recalling an earlier conversation with Carlson, Vance said he had urged the commentator not to allow his disagreement over the war to overshadow what he viewed as Trump’s broader achievements.
Vance pointed to issues including border security and changes to university admissions policies, arguing that Trump’s record in other areas should also be acknowledged despite disagreements over foreign policy.
