MUSCAT : In a notice issued online, the ministry said the violations at the fuel stations were addressed following initial inspection visits, with regular and surprise inspections continuing to ensure compliance and prevent recurrence.
The ministry said the licence revocations involving Sanad service centres followed repeated violations, despite prior warnings and opportunities to rectify the issues. It added that all applicable procedures and penalties had been exhausted before the decisions were taken.
Responding to public concerns over the enforcement measures, the ministry stressed that fairness in applying regulations and protecting consumer rights remain fundamental principles of its regulatory work, regardless of the establishment or type of activity involved.
The ministry said the measures aim to strengthen compliance with regulations and improve service quality while safeguarding consumer rights.
It also urged the public to submit complaints, observations and reports through Tajawob, Oman’s national platform for suggestions, complaints and reports, to ensure they are addressed through established procedures.
