The meeting was jointly chaired by authority president Dr. Jokha bint Abdullah Al Shukaili and Dr. Intisar Ambusaidi, the ministry’s undersecretary for educational programmes.
The authority outlined its school assessment plan for the first semester of 2026/2027, covering self-evaluation procedures, training, questionnaires, supervisor preparation and the participation of external review teams.
Both sides discussed using the ministry’s digital systems to supply data for assessment indicators and reduce administrative workloads. They also considered a joint plan to prepare school leaders for evaluations through awareness programmes, workshops and examples of successful school improvement.
A proposed cooperation charter was reviewed to define areas of partnership and coordinate responsibilities between the two bodies.
The committee stressed the need to use assessment findings to improve school performance and educational outcomes, according to the agency.
