MUSCAT: Oman condemned on Thursday attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Abha and King Khalid international airports that caused deaths, injuries and material damage, calling for restraint to prevent further regional escalation.
In a statement carried by the Oman News Agency, the Sultanate expressed its firm rejection of attacks on civilian facilities and actions that endanger Saudi Arabia’s security and civilian lives.
Oman urged wisdom and self-restraint, and called for avoiding steps that could widen the conflict, saying regional security and stability must be preserved.

The Sultanate expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia, offered condolences to the victims’ families and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation authorities said the two airports were attacked on October 6 and 7, leaving three people dead and 36 injured. One person was killed and eight wounded at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, while two people were killed and 28 wounded at Abha airport.
