MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik returned home on Tuesday evening after a two-day state visit to Kazakhstan that included talks on strengthening bilateral ties and agreements covering investment, energy, tourism and mineral exploration.
His Majesty met President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Palace of Independence in Astana, where the leaders discussed expanding economic cooperation and building a sustainable strategic partnership.
The visit also highlighted opportunities for cooperation in financial services, transport, logistics and artificial intelligence.

Tokayev conferred the Order of the Golden Eagle, Kazakhstan’s highest state honour, on His Majesty in recognition of his support for strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
