Oman’s rial is pegged to the U.S. dollar, meaning monetary policy in the Sultanate generally moves closely in line with U.S. interest rates to help maintain the currency peg and support monetary stability.
The CBO’s latest move comes amid continued adjustments in global interest rates and financial market conditions.
