MUSCAT : North Al Batinah Municipality has seized 650 skewers of meat deemed unfit for human consumption during an evening inspection campaign targeting meat roasting shops in Suwaiq.
The inspection drive also uncovered several violations related to the proper preservation and storage of meat, the municipality said.
Officials confiscated the unsafe food products and subsequently destroyed them in accordance with health and safety procedures.

The municipality also confirmed that the necessary legal measures were taken against the establishments found violating food safety requirements.
