MUSCAT: Oman Meteorology said on Sunday that the latest forecasts from the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre indicate a low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere will influence weather conditions across the Sultanate over the three-day period.

The system is expected to bring chances of scattered rainfall to parts of Dhofar Governorate, particularly over mountainous areas, while cloud cover could extend over other governorates.

Authorities assessed the expected impact on Dhofar as low, according to the weather advisory issued on September 13.

Oman Meteorology said the upper-air low is expected to begin affecting the country on Monday and continue through Wednesday.

Residents have been advised to follow official weather updates as conditions develop.
