MUSCAT : Members of UTSC Global held discussions with Kerala Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Adv. O. J. Janeesh during his visit to Muscat, with a special focus on the development of hockey and improving sporting facilities in the state.
During the meeting, the UTSC delegation put forward suggestions aimed at strengthening hockey at the grassroots level and providing players with better infrastructure.
One of the key proposals was to make greater use of the Maharaja’s College Hockey Ground for the development and promotion of the sport. The delegation expressed hope that improvements to hockey grounds and increased opportunities for players could help further expand the game in Kerala.

The Minister heard the suggestions presented by the team and discussed the scope for supporting the future development of hockey in the state.
UTSC Global Chairman Javis Ahmed, Global member Liji Ussain, and Hashir Ponmanichi, who is also Vice President of Kerala Hockey, were part of the delegation.
As a token of appreciation, the UTSC team presented the Minister with a UTSC T-shirt and a hockey stick memento.
The delegation also invited Janeesh to attend the upcoming Hockey Carnival, an annual tournament jointly organised by UTSC and Hockey Oman.
