Oman Triathlon League’s second round concludes in Al Musannah

Second round draws strong local and international participation across Olympic, Sprint and junior categories.

MUSCAT : The second round of the Omani Triathlon League concluded at Barceló Resort in Al-Musannah, bringing together athletes from Oman and abroad for a highly competitive day of racing across the Olympic, Sprint and junior categories.

The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Badr bin Nasser Al-Farsi, Governor of Al-Musannah, and witnessed close contests that remained fiercely competitive until the final metres.

In the men’s Olympic category, Hashem Al-Farsi claimed first place, followed by Saeed Al-Maamari in second and Mohammed Al-Rahbi in third.

In the women’s Olympic competition, Britain’s Arlene secured first place, while compatriot Lauren finished second. Oman’s Reem Al-Harthi took third place, marking a strong Omani presence in the women’s field.

The men’s Sprint category also produced intense competition, with Muhannad Al-Jabri taking the top spot. Abdullah Al-Kulaibi finished second, while Mahmoud Al-Kulaibi secured third place.

In the women’s Sprint event, Britain dominated the podium, with Jennifer taking first place, Seranet finishing second and Morgan placing third.

The junior races also delivered an enthusiastic display of emerging talent. Younis Al-Salti finished first, followed by Saeed Al-Ghilani in second and Al-Qasim Saeed in third.

The junior competition highlighted the growing focus on developing younger age groups and building a stronger pipeline of triathlon talent in the Sultanate.

The second round forms part of the wider Oman Triathlon League series, which aims to raise the competitive level of athletes, provide regular racing opportunities for Omani participants and attract international competitors.
