MUSCAT: There was little respite from the heat across Oman, with temperatures climbing to 46.8°C in Hamra Al Drooa, according to the latest readings released by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Saturday.
Hamra Al Drooa topped the list of the highest temperatures recorded during the past 24 hours, followed closely by Fahud at 46.5°C.
As Sunainah recorded 45.5°C, while Al Qabil reached 45.2°C and Ibri registered 45.1°C.

High temperatures were also reported across several other parts of the Sultanate. Um Al Zamaim recorded 44.9°C, followed by Bahla at 44.7°C.
Dima Wattayeen, Bidiyah, Al Buraimi and Nizwa each recorded temperatures of 44.5°C.
The readings were taken from meteorological stations operated by the Civil Aviation Authority.
Despite September marking the gradual transition away from the peak summer months, the latest figures show intense daytime heat continuing across several inland areas of Oman.
