Munich: Nathaniel Brown opened the scoring for Bayern in the 28th minute on his competitive debut, before Michael Olise doubled the advantage in first-half stoppage time. Dortmund fought back after the break, with Fabio Silva pulling one back in the 75th minute, but Bayern held firm to seal the trophy.
Dortmund pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but their challenge suffered another setback when Ramy Bensebaini was shown a red card in the 90th minute. Alexander Beier later missed a major opportunity to level the contest as Bayern preserved their 2-1 lead in front of 81,365 spectators.
The victory takes Bayern’s German Supercup tally to a record 12 titles, extending their lead over Borussia Dortmund, who remain on six. Bayern had entered this year’s contest with 11 Supercup crowns to Dortmund’s six.
