ABU DHABI: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of continued consultation and cooperation to safeguard regional security and stability during talks in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
His Majesty and the UAE President exchanged views on regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East, and discussed ongoing efforts to promote security, stability and peace for the benefit of the region and its peoples.
The two leaders reaffirmed the need to maintain close consultation on issues of mutual concern as the region faces shared challenges.

During the meeting, His Majesty and Sheikh Mohamed also reviewed the longstanding relations between Oman and the UAE and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in the economic and development sectors.
The talks took place during His Majesty Sultan Haitham’s fraternal visit to the UAE.
