LOS ANGELES: The Marvel and Sony action-adventure film has now collected $785.8 million domestically in just 17 days, surpassing Avatar, which finished its North American run with $785.2 million. The latest Spider-Man film has consequently moved into fourth place on the all-time domestic box-office list.
The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s science-fiction epic, remained in second place with $23.2 million in its fifth weekend, taking its domestic total to about $504.6 million, according to current figures.
Two new releases followed closely behind. The End of Oak Street opened in third place with $21 million, while the animated family film PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie debuted in fourth with $20.5 million.

The musical documentary Katseye: Wild Hearts rounded out the top five with approximately $4 million in its opening weekend.
The strong performance of the latest Spider-Man film has helped propel the North American box office. The total value of box office revenues during the weekend reached approximately $160.1 million, contributing to raising the total annual revenues to date to $6.9 billion, representing a growth of 19.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day has also crossed the $2 billion mark worldwide, becoming only the eighth film to reach that milestone and the second-fastest to do so, behind Avengers: Endgame.
