NCEM issues 4-step safety guidance for suspected contamination incidents in Oman

Oman’s National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) has urged the public to follow four key safety steps when contamination is suspected, including staying away from the affected area and immediately notifying the competent authorities.

MUSCAT: The NCEM advised people to stay away from any area suspected of being contaminated and to avoid fishing in the affected area.

People should also record the location, time and details of what they observed before reporting the incident to the relevant authorities.

The committee urged the public to immediately report suspected contamination to the competent authorities on 93930088.
