MUSCAT: Starting from Sunday, November 1, parking spaces in Muscat Governorate can be reserved via online as Muscat Municipality will remove the traditional meters that are placed in some areas in the city.
In a statement issued, Muscat Municipality said parking meters located at Muttrah Souq, Ruwi Market, Central Business District (CBD), Al Bahri Street and Al Fursan Street will be removed.
Motorists can book and pay for parking using the Baladiyati App or the Municipality website www.mm.gov.om. “They can also book and pay for parking by sending an SMS with their car number plate details to 90091,” the statement added.
