Oman CPA recovers RO 2,160 in Al Dakhiliyah building materials dispute

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has recovered RO 2,160 for a consumer in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate after reaching an amicable settlement with a commercial establishment operating in the building materials sector.

MUSCAT: The case involved a consumer who had entered into an agreement with the establishment to purchase steel for a house under construction. However, the establishment failed to deliver the materials within the timeframe specified in the contract.


Following the complaint, the CPA facilitated an amicable settlement between the two parties.


As part of the settlement, the contract was terminated and the establishment refunded the consumer the full amount paid, totalling RO 2,160.
