Oman launches Ejada Card to boost employee incentives in government sector

Oman has launched the Ejada Card, an electronic platform offering incentives and benefits to government employees as part of efforts to link recognition with performance and achievement.

MUSCAT: The Individual and Institutional Ejada Seminar, held on Monday, inaugurated the ‘Ejada Card’ for the moral incentives system in the government sector. providing a number of benefits to employees of units of the State’s Administrative Apparatus.
The event was a part of the Labour Forum organised by the Ministry of Labour in Dhofar Governorate.
The inauguration was held under the auspices of His Excellency Said Abdullah Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, with the participation of several government entities and specialists in human resources and institutional excellence, aiming to promote a culture of excellence and enhance performance in the government sector.
Mohammed Mubarak Al Kalbani, Director General of Development and Quality Assurance at the Ministry of Labour, explained that the project to develop the rewards and incentives system in the government sector represents a step in developing the government human resources system and linking motivation to performance and achievement, in line with the targets of “Oman Vision 2040.”
He pointed out that the project includes a modern electronic system providing benefits and services to employees of the State’s Administrative Apparatus units implementing the Ejada system, through strategic partnerships with private sector institutions and companies.
He noted that the project reflects a trend toward deploying modern technologies and digital solutions in human resource management, and consolidating an institutional culture that makes recognition and motivation a sustainable practice.

The forum also witnessed the honouring of leading government units in the application integrity index of the individual Ejada system for 2026, which included 13 government units, namely: Muscat Governorate, Dhofar Governorate, Ministry of Education, Oman Investment Authority, Ministry of Health, Public Prosecution, Dhofar Municipality, South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, North Al Batinah Governorate, South Al Batinah Governorate, Al Dhahirah Governorate and Muscat Municipality.
The forum featured a number of specialized working papers titled ‘The Future of Human Resources According to Ministry of Labour Trends’, ‘Institutional Innovation and Change Management’, ‘Personal Empowerment in the Government Sector’, and ‘The Role of Institutional Excellence in Enhancing Government Work Culture’.
The forum also addressed ‘The Individual Ejada System: From Application to Impact’, ‘Developing Training Methodology in the Ejada System to Enhance Job Performance’, ‘Continuous Improvement Methodology’, and ‘Human Resources Planning in the Government Sector’.
