MUSCAT : Organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), the forum brought together business leaders and officials from both countries to discuss opportunities in sectors including trade, investment, food security, water and beverages, handicrafts, traditional industries and logistics. It also aimed to strengthen communication between the business communities and encourage the establishment of joint ventures and long-term partnerships.
Speaking at the forum, Salim bin Said Al Alawi, Director General of the Board of Directors and International Cooperation Sector at the OCCI, said the event reflects the chamber’s belief that the private sector plays a vital role in strengthening bilateral economic relations and advancing shared interests.

He said direct engagement between business leaders is the foundation for identifying investment opportunities, exchanging expertise and building sustainable partnerships that generate added value for the national economy.
Al Alawi added that the forum’s focus areas reflect the wide range of opportunities available for Omani and Nepali businesses to cooperate in areas such as water management, food production and manufacturing, logistics, trade and investment, while facilitating technology transfer and supporting sustainable economic development.
Bishesh Kumar Sah, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Nepal in Oman, highlighted the forum’s role in deepening economic and commercial relations between the two countries by creating opportunities for direct engagement between businesses.
He said Oman and Nepal possess significant economic potential that can be leveraged to expand private sector cooperation and called for continued business forums and economic events to open new channels for trade and investment, enhance the presence of products and services in both markets, and encourage joint projects.

On the sidelines of the event, business-to-business (B2B) meetings were held between Omani and Nepali companies to explore commercial partnerships, identify areas of mutual interest and discuss potential joint investment projects aimed at further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
